Moda recently filed rates for Individual plans in Oregon on and off the Exchange effective January 1, 2017. An important element of this filing is a more focused, high-value provider network. Moda and its network partners will use a coordinated and integrated approach to patient care that will better meet the needs of the Individual marketplace.
Moda’s 2017 Beacon network features an Oregon-based integrated healthcare provider system that will provide quality, cost-effective health care services to all of Moda’s Individual health plan policyholders. It will feature a Clinical Integration Program that enables hospital system partners and Moda to work together to deliver quality and affordable healthcare through a series of innovative population-specific initiatives. Moda and the health systems will cooperate on data aggregation and analytics processes, implementing programs and care interventions that will result in better health outcomes for our members.
Incorporating valuable insights gained about the Individual market during the past two years, we have developed an approach for 2017 that will be more stable and sustainable for this important market segment. This approach represents our ongoing commitment to providing high quality, cost-effective Individual insurance products to Oregonians both on and off the Exchange.
All plans will be available in a service area consisting of 13 counties: Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Coos, Hood River, Jackson, Josephine, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Wasco, Washington, and Yamhill. These service areas will have access to care through nine health systems: Asante, Bay Area, Columbia Memorial, Mid-Columbia, OHSU, Portland Adventist, Salem Health, Tuality and Willamette Valley. All plans will be available both on and off the health insurance marketplace.
